This began as a much larger, verticle composition began in 2013 as part of a series titled Anima Animus Animal which remained unresolved until 2020 when during the first lockdown I cut it down, altered and reworked it almost entirely.

It depicts three endemic Madagascan species of fauna and flora: the Fossa, Darwin’s Orchid and Morgan’s Shpinx Moth meeting and encountered at night in the forest
