First of three of these pieces - all the same format adapting three abstracts I made a few years ago in Barcelona.



It struck me that they had something of St Ives about them too; the abstracted landscape tradition of Cornwall suggesting the emblem of Kernow. And naturally there had to be three.



The darkest areas on these is achieved by scorching the wooden panel with the result that the grain, conversely, perhaps evokes water, and the pale green perhaps a headland.
